The White Cloud Mountain minnow is a hardy species of freshwater fish and coldwater fish often kept in an aquarium. The species is a member of the carp family of the order Cypriniformes, native to China. White Cloud Mountain Minnow's are great for tropical or cold water aquariums, and make ideal shoaling tankmates for small fancy goldfish. White Cloud Mountain Minnows are great for beginners as they are hardy and easy to keep.

Ease of care
Easy. Great for beginners, very few specific requirements. Because they are rather small, be careful not to house with overly large fish that may mistake them for food.
Diet
The food we recommend is fish flake or very small granules. They can occasionally have smaller frozen or live food, like daphnia.
Compatibility
A community aquarium with similar size non-aggressive species is ideal (avoid overly-large fish).
Breeding
Fairly easy. Males will attempt to attract females by displaying their fins alongside each other. White Cloud Mountain Minnows are egg-scatterers, dropping their eggs freely amongst vegetation.
Life Span
White Cloud Mountain Minnow fish have an average lifespan live of 3-5 years in perfect conditions.
