Smart Level is the new versatile fully electronic water level controller designed by Hydor. Smart Level safely and easily handles the aquarium and sump water level due to evaporation. Designed to be used in the many different conditions that exist in the marine and freshwater aquarium environment. Smart Level technology reduces the problems related to lime scale deposits, bacterial film, and wave action, which ensures the continuous, safe, and regular functioning of the Smart Level control.

Included is a waterproof probe with 3 position level sensors, comprising minimum water level, maximum level and an alarm. The water level sensor includes a super safe suction cup magnet which can be used with glass up to 10mm thick.

The integral sensor will determine the water level and initiate or turn off a pump as needed. The unit works by gauging the temperature, when the water level drops or rises the temperature changes in the probe chamber, telling the system it needs to turn on or off.

For the Smart Level Control, all types of pumps can be used, up to a maximum power of 50w. Choose a pump with a flow and head suitable for the type of use. Note that it is best to use a pump that tops off slowly within 10 minutes (maximum topping-off time).
